US Ambassador awards certificates to Women entrepreneurs

Last week, our CEO and founder Mrs. Cerinah N kasirye was part of 68 women who graduated from the Academy of women entrepreneurs and received their certificates from her Excellence Natalie E Brown the ambassador of the USA to Uganda.

The celebration came after four months of training of women entrepreneurs who were trained in four regions of Uganda, Central, Eastern, Northern and western.  The training was in partnership with the mission in Uganda and implemented by SHONA capital. 

The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) gives enterprising women the knowledge, networks, and access they need to launch and scale successful businesses. By promoting women’s economic opportunities and ensuring that women have the capabilities and resources needed to participate in the economy.

H.E Natalie E Brown was the guest of honor during the graduation ceremony and handed over certificates to each of the participants. She highlighted that the AWE program directly supports the U.S. National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality.
