On 19th May 2024, Trillion Looks Store held a successful Model casting session in partnership with Enzo Production. This casting session was to choose the perfect models for the Afri art fashion show 24. With a staggering number of over 150 models registering, the excitement was palpable. While not all could attend, a dedicated group of 104 hopefuls showed up, ready to showcase their talent and potentially land a coveted spot on the runway.
The AFRI Art Fashion Show is a celebration of African artistry and fashion. This year, the organizers sought models who not only embodied the beauty and diversity of the continent but also possessed the confidence and charisma to bring the vibrant designs to life and passionate about art and promotion of culture.
A big shout-out goes to the modelling agencies who played a crucial role in mobilizing talent. Enzo Production, the main force behind the casting, deserves immense credit for their expertise and support. Several well-established agencies like the Uganda Models Association, EyeCandy Modelling Agency, Eiffel Models, JMM, and Oceans Modelling Agency participated, sending their most promising faces.
But the casting session wasn’t just about established names. It was heartwarming to see a significant number of independent models seeking their first runway experience. Their enthusiasm and commitment were truly inspiring. The Afri Art Fashion Show prides itself on being a platform for emerging talent, and this year’s casting session solidified that belief.
The energy at Motiv was electric throughout the day. Models showcased their walks, poses, and expressions, leaving the casting team with a wealth of options. The atmosphere was encouraging and supportive, with experienced models offering tips to newcomers. It was a day of not just competition but also camaraderie, building excitement for the upcoming show.
As the final selection has now ended, it’s safe to say the Afri Art Fashion Show 2024 runway is guaranteed to be a dazzling display. The casting session revealed a pool of diverse and talented models, each with their own unique spark. As a reward to all models, we took body measurements for each of them, and also took headshots which we shall use to profile the successful models, however even the unsuccessful models can use these details wherever they go.
