The exciting fashion season  to showcase your designs is here! The season where Afri art and fashion show searches  for the best designers in Africa  to showcase their talent and craft on a runway. 

The Afri art and fashion show has for the past two years been on a mission to celebrate artisan designers, give them a platform to showcase their craft. 

For the previous seasons, Afri art fashion show has given over 25 artisan designers an opportunity to become stars. Many of our  designers have received  an  opportunity to showcase at a fashion show for the first time, an opportunity to exhibit their craft to a global audience. 

This show is open to to all designers across Africa  as long as you are able to produce for the runway.  Should you want to know more details about this year’s afri art and fashion show, Read this article up to the end. 

When is the Afri Art and fashion show 2024? 

The afri art and fashion show 2024 is scheduled for July 13th 2024. 

How can I Showcase my collection in the Afri art and Fashion show 2024?

First and foremost, you need to be a fashion designer who creates fashion products wether bags, shoes, clothing , jewellery, name it!. Its important for you to express your interest by applying using the link https://bit.ly/afriartdesigners) before 18th April 2024. 

Will you provide Models ? 

Yes, We usually hold a model casting session where we get to select Models that are the perfect fit for the show. This year we shall have 30 models and we shall assign atleast 10 models per designer. 

How many items per collection? 

We are able to take between 7 to 10 pieces per collection per designer. We would love our designers to have their collection ready atleast 3 weeks before the Fashion show.

How many designers will participate in the Afri art and fashion show 2024? 

We will take a maximum of 15 designers for the 2024 Edition. If you would like to showcase your collection, please register   https://bit.ly/afriartdesigners and take your slot. Uganda has over a million fashion designers but we can only take 15 designers this year. 

Do you support fashion designers to purchase materials to make their collections?

We have supported designers for the past two seasons, unfortunately we cannot support designers this year. We encourage designers to prepare  early and make a collection that will fit in their budget 

Can I participate in the show if I don’t have a company or brand

Yes, you can!  As long as you can create a collection for this show, feel free to come through and showcase your talent. 

Does a designer need a sustainability certificate?

Sustainability standards and guidelines are voluntary initiatives which designers take on to show their commitment to environmental conservation, social and ethical practices.
